Mix the marinade ingredients (chilli powder, turmeric, ground coriander, ground cumin, garam masala and ground cinnamon, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, yogurt and few drops of food color) with ¾ tsp salt and 1 tsp black pepper. Slash the legs of the chicken a few times, then rub the marinade all over. It tastes good if you can marinate in the fridge for a day 24 hours.
TIP: Soak the chicken for few hours in salt water for even better taste before marination
Pre heat oven to 450°F or 230°C. Roast the chicken for 45min to 1hr or until the juices run clear when tested with a skewer.
When the chicken is done, remove the chicken legs from the oven and garnish with coriander — serve it will sliced onions and a slice of lemon.
